I read about a big scandal back in 2009 where China gave Taipei some "pandas" that ended up being brown bears painted black and white to look like pandas. Seriously. You can read the story here.
So, I guess you could say we had pretty low expectations...
But it ended up being pretty cool. There were a lot of animals, especially lots of monkeys.
Some looked really sad...
And some were relaxing, just living the life.
I was a little disappointed the gorilla wasn't in his cage, but the other animals made up for it.

Sarah, these are great pictures! Great close-ups, especially of the giraffe and rhino in your other pictures. Love the turtle with its toe in the water, and the rabbit...!!!
